Mumbai, 2017

An engineering student staring at his computer screen filled with code. A semicolon used to end a code statement and to between closely related independent clauses which are not joined by a coordinating conjunction catches his eye. An idea is born. A story awaits to be told.


Founded by an engineering dropout in 2017, we are a Mumbai based production house creating visual stories in the form of films, music videos, fashion films, brand films, stop motion, animation and more. Recognized at esteemed film festivals such as JIO MAMI, NSFF, MSFF, Bioscope, Cine Philia, and more, our films have found a place on renowned platforms like Film Companion, Times of India, Shemaroo, Mashable, Rolling Stones, Home Grown, Pocket Films, Shorted, and others.

 

Guided by our mantra, "Trends pass; stories stay," our mission is to curate cinematic brilliance by uniting diverse artists and brands, striving for something greater, better, and more beautiful. We are here to stay so there is no fade out.

VIDAR JOSHI

founder | filmmaker

Vidar Joshi, a Mumbai-based filmmaker and writer, transitioned from engineering to pursue his passion for filmmaking. Graduating from Usha Pravin Gandhi College, he refined his screenwriting skills under the mentorship of established writers. Since his filmmaking debut in 2017, Vidar has been actively writing and directing short films. His recent achievement includes the completion of his debut feature film, "Shunya," where he served as the writer, director, and editor. Notably, he also contributed as an assistant writer to an Indonesian series, showcasing his diverse skills. His latest short film at JIO MAMI 2023, adding to his portfolio of accolades. Vidar's earlier works have been showcased at renowned film festivals like MAMI 2018, MIFF, Shorted, and LiftOff, earning recognition. His creative journey has been featured on platforms such as Film Companion, Times of India, Rolling Stones, Mashable, Shemaroo, Home Grown, and Shorted. Proficient in Hindi, Hindustani, English, Marathi, and Gujarati, Vidar's versatility extends beyond screenwriting. Under his pen name 'Tazaad,' he expresses his artistic flair through crafting couplets, poems, and ghazals, showcasing a multifaceted creative expression and work philosophy.

YOSHITA PAREEK

Yoshita Pareek is a producer, Thespian hailing from Ajmer. She started off as a Production Executive / Manager in web shows for TVF, Zee, Shemaroo which eventually led her in doing multiple Independent projects as an Executive/Line Producer including a 52 ad film series for Gujarat Government. Her recent short as a Producer, 'Should I Kill Myself, Or Have A Cup Of Coffee?' premiered at JIO MAMI 2023. Furthermore, she has recently completed the post-production work for Sanjay Mishra’s upcoming short film “PAS” as a Post-Producer. Yoshita is currently involved in planning the film festival circuit and distribution for 'Shunya’, Semicolon Films’ debut feature film & is raising capital for upcoming Documentaries ‘HELP’ and 'In The Realm of Endless Reflections'. She's currently being mentored for her documentary films by Pankaj Rishi Kumar, a senior Documentary Filmmaker.

DHARAM JOSHI

Dharam Joshi, a filmmaker, initially honed his skills as a freelance editor, later diversifying into roles as a script cleaner and subtitle supervisor for prominent OTT platforms. His journey has encompassed the multifaceted role of a freelance assistant director, contributing his expertise to various advertising campaigns, including notable brands such as Reserve Bank of India, US POLO, Clear Trip, Milo, HERO, Policy Bazaar, Blitz Poker, KRA, GNC, Indian Premier League, Blue Heaven, Oven Story, Jio Mart (Yearly Campaign), Finance Peer, and many more. Dharam has made a significant impact on commercial music videos and has also contributed to writing for ad films and campaigns, demonstrating a versatile skill set in the industry.

HARSH SALUNKE

​Harsh Salunke, a Mumbai-based filmmaker, finds inspiration in avant-garde and modern art, infusing his cinematic creations with innovative flair. His journey began as a playwright, gradually transitioning into screenwriting. He started in films as a production assistant and progressed to being an executive producer. Harsh then worked as a freelance assistant director for prominent production houses. Recently, Harsh directed a compelling brand film for 'Janvi Kanabar,' a fashion label. He has been part of a prominent Sony Liv web series, 'Undekhi.' In independent feature films, he played a key role as chief assistant director in 'Almost Blue' and as a director's assistant in 'Mercy. Harsh has also directed a thought-provoking documentary titled ‘Tiralis’. Throughout his journey, he has been involved in various music videos, including 'Sab Rab by Rochak Kohli' and many more. 'Should I Kill Myself, Or Have A Cup Of Coffee?' recently premiered at JIO MAMI 2023, with Harsh playing the lead actor in the film. Brand films and music videos stand out as his forte, reflecting his profound artistic inclinations.
